Alabamians ventured west February 2nd to seek the exotics and hogs on the sacred soil of Texas. We were booked for a "Safari Hunt" on the Dos XX ranch located a few miles out of Sabinal Texas. Our hunt allowed us a chance at seldom obtainable large game animals. All but one of us were shooting traditional bows and arrows.
We were excited and had eyes pointed toward the mesquite and brush country before Christmas of 2000.
Gilbert Trevino III and Troy Breeding (arrowman) put the hunt together. They had hunted there last summer and came away with stories of the big fallow, corsican, aoudad and hogs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and the hospitality of the ranch guide Jerry and his Emu sidekick, "texas chicken"
We all have found memories of Mike's late night suppers, Trey's pass-out fajetas, all the snoring, those fast hogs, the brakeless '51 jeep, competitive flatulence, and hard-pushed animals.

All of us had shots at game and the majority of ther group harvested game, all were and remain trophies to a group of Alabamaians!
